Registration and Admission in the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society
All holders of an Integrated master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (MICF) awarded by a Portuguese higher education institution at the university level (or equivalent) can register as full members of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society. These individuals are granted the title of pharmacist, allowing them to practice the pharmaceutical profession and perform acts specific to this profession in Portugal.

The delivery of the Professional License to new pharmacists takes place annually at the Pharmaceutical Commitment Ceremony.

There are also other categories of membership within the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society:

Students: available to students enrolled in the last two years of the Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences;
Collective: available to legal entities that, through their activities, are related to the field of pharmaceutical activity, either in Portugal or abroad, particularly at the scientific, academic, or associative level;
Corresponding members: available to pharmacists who practice the pharmaceutical profession or perform acts specific to this profession outside the national territory;
Professional Societies: available to pharmacists established in the national territory, who practice the pharmaceutical profession as a group.

For more information, please consult the Admission Regulation of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society or contact us by phone at (+351) 213 191 370 or by email at direcao.nacional@ordemfarmaceuticos.pt.
